Let's start with the most amazing thing...the gelato. We found a place that was so good, the line went several meters out the door. Their secret is that they fill the cone with melted 75% cacao chocolate before they even put any gelato on. The gelato itself was mind-blowing! It is all I can do not to go back for thirds!
We managed to go to il Duomo, Palazzo Reale, Castello Sforzesco, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and still spent several hours enjoying a multi-course meal. Of course, we also spent time enjoying the gelato. It was a lovely, busy day. The weather was ideal, the crowds were low and we were able to see some amazing art and history.
It is wonderful fun getting the feel for a new country. Each city has their very own personality. We have enjoyed our quick trip to Milan, but we are off again tomorrow. We are catching another train and heading to Florence.
